GGV Avocats is strengthening its innovative technologies and impact projects practice with the arrival of Marie L’Hermite as Avocate Counsel

GGV Avocats – Rechtsanwälte is pleased to announce the arrival of Marie L’Hermite as Avocate Counsel on 6 September 2023.

With more than 12 years’ international experience in senior legal positions in the telecommunications, energy and web3 areas, Marie L’Hermite will be developing the innovative technologies (blockchain and AI) and high-impact projects (ethics and compliance) practice thus strengthening the firm’s Innovations – IP – IT – Data Protection teams.

Marie trained in decentralised technologies and has an extensive experience of web3 projects (blockchain, crypto, NFT, Metavers), governance/DAO, crypto compliance and personal data protection. She also assists and advises companies on the design, implementation and development of their innovation-related projects.

Drawing on her experience in the corporate world, Marie has an operational, 360° approach to business law, enabling her to provide pragmatic support to clients of the Innovations – IP – IT – Data Protection department.

Trained in domestic and international arbitration law, Marie provides technical expertise (web3/blockchain) to counsel and arbitrators in arbitration disputes.

Marie is also involved in a number of social issues relating to equality, ethics and the environment.

Marie L’Hermite is a member of the Paris Bar and holds a DESS (Master II) in European Business Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Sorbonne, an LL.M in German Law, an LL.M.Eur in European Business Law from Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, and a Diplôme Universitaire in domestic and international arbitration from the University of Montpellier.
